Description

SD 2000 is a 850 °C firing glaze for insulating Cr steel.

Key Features

Cofiring of insulation, heater, termination and cover
glaze in one is possible.
No bowing during wet stack process.
Excellent green strength.
Extremely dense, hermetic film is formed, allowing for an
excellent electrical performance.
A continuous operation at up to 550 °C is possible.
May be applied to the following commercial steel types:

No steel pre-treatment necessary. Simply remove the
protective film, inspect surface for remaining adhesive,
and commence printing.

Printing Parameters

Print through a 165 – 325 mesh stainless steel screen. A
double-wet print mode is advised for each layer.

Printing Speed

 

Drying Temperature

Dry each print at 150 °C for 10 minutes

Process Temperature (TDS)

Co-fire all layers simultaneously at 850 – 860 °C (peak)
for 12 – 20 minutes, and with a total firing cycle time of
at least 90 minutes
